About Us

Welcome to ULLIM, an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for essential tremor patients and families in South Korea. We provide emotional support, practical resources, and a safe community where people affected by essential tremor can connect with others, learn, and feel understood.

Our organization also strives to raise awareness of essential tremor and advocate for the rights of people affected by the condition in South Korea. Through petitions, sharing patient stories, and public campaigns, we hope to reduce the stigma surrounding essential tremor and create a society where patients are supported and respected.

Our Story

Our Story

This organization started with a frustration: watching loved ones with essential tremor slowly lose themselves due to their condition. Essential tremor not only affected them physically, but also psychologically, as they felt ashamed and embarrassed by their tremor. However, they struggled to seek help due to stigma and a lack of awareness of essential tremor in Korean society. In fact, the absence of support groups or accommodations in South Korea left many essential tremor patients helpless and isolated from society. Furthermore, essential tremor remains one of the most commonly misdiagnosed and underdiagnosed conditions, leaving many patients without proper treatment. Therefore, we decided to make the Korean branch of the International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF), providing the only community that supports and advocates for essential tremor patients in Korea.
