Surgical options
Deep Brain Stimulation is the most common and widely used surgical treatment in Korea. It involves implanting electrodes in specific brain regions to deliver controlled electrical impulses that disrupt tremor signals. DBS can significantly improve hand tremors and, in some cases, head and voice tremors. There are some side effects and surgery risks that might follow.

MRI-guided focused ultrasound is a non-invasive surgical treatment that uses ultrasound waves to create a small lesion in the thalamus to stop tremor. Since it doesn't involve any opening or cutting, it has low infection risks and a fast recovery time (same day /next day discharge).
